Valid – VIP Functional Test Platform

Valid is a modular, flexible and scalabe functional test system capable to satisfy the widest test requirements, from modules to loaded boards, from simple analog to high power, to complex mixed-mode DSP technology, from HCMOS/ECL to modern low voltage digital families.

The Valid base configuration is a single vertical bay that accommodates the system’s power distribution, UUT power supplies and the test backplane to host various types of F4X series channel cards and instrumentation. A wide variety of VXI, GPIB, PXI or cPCI instruments can be fully hardware and software integrated. The system can be expanded to accommodate one or two additional bays. The Valid is ergonomically designed for box/module/loaded board functional test, offering to the operator full access to UUT, control panel, oscilloscope, system’s PC, as well as a comfortable area for documentation, schematics and tools. Standard of Custom fixtures are mechanically engaged to a robust, high performance receiver that grants acces through the integrated test backplane bus to all resources of the system.

The innovative VIVA software incorporated into VIP organises test program development into a simple three step – PREPARE; VERIFY; TEST; process which guides the user through a series of automated operations in an intuitive, self explanatory environment
